Our Weather or Is It The Rain

it is still raining. We have had over 20" since the first of May and more is to come. Lake Whitney, Waco area of Texas, is 23 FEET over normal pool. Lake Texoma, at the Texas-Oklahoma border, is expected to go over the emergency spillway for the third time in its 65 year history. Its something in the area of 30 FEET over normal pool level. And the COE is letting out all they can as more comes to the lake. When I lived up there in the 70's, the fishing below the dam was spectacular.

The hill country has had over 12" of rain overnight. Real serious rain fall and flooding is the problem. A road, FM721, over Lake Little Elm is about to be closed due to water rising to the road level. And a sink hole has appeared closing a road to some housing area trapping some residents from leaving. The news crew also stated that you can hear the dirt falling into the hole as it enlarges. Watching our Fox4 news for local news.

And out west the temps in Vegas was 113 yesterday. To the east in Alabama and Georgia its a dry spell. Don't blame the weather man.

Wore my lenses for a week, got a second trial pair I will wear today for a week. If all goes well this is the brand to buy. Before I do there is a conversation with the eye doctor about wear time and cost. Shirley will go back today and get another trial pair. She is not happy with hers yet.

I did get in 18 holes Monday. The rain did not come till afternoon. I went to the Crown Valley again and played 14 thru 18 for the first time. Rain run me off the week before. The course is very nice. Its in the 72xx range from the back tees. I play from the members tee which is in the 68xx range. And the old man rate is $29.00 with cart. Super fast greens, my favorite, and fairways good for the pros. Water in the right places and sand traps to catch ya if you get careless. Its located at exit 415 on I20 and north about a mile and half.
