Our Travel Plans

We will leave here, Llano Grande in mercedes, next thursday morning and make our first planned stop at the state park in Laredo thursday night. Friday morning we will go to Uvalde and the Garner State Park. Weather permitting we will stay two nights or the weekend. On monday we will go to Sheffield or Langtry for the night. We will leave there tuesday and go to Lovington, NM to see dad, my brother and how dad is doing.

Since we are parked under a wifi tower, we have birds above. I took a walk around and we have some white streaks on a side and the back. Probably next tuesday is wash day. The rv and the suv will get a good wash. We have the usual duties to do before we move. We clean inside, outside, check tires and batteries. This takes awhile to do. Its been four months at the Seawind RV park since any of the outside stuff was done.

It will be nice to start traveling again so we can see the sights along the way. The dish will be setup in Uvalde. We will download the pics along the way but not post till friday night and the weekend. The next posting will be in Lovington, NM.

Its a NICE day

Super weather! Average high for the day is 74. Light winds, fog this am and we had cloudy skies with the high of 74.

Golf was good, score was not. To many 2 and 3 puts. But, I did not loose any balls. It was on the green in birdy with 2 putts. Tough to make good with that.

Shirley had the car for 5 hours. She did wash the rugs at the laundry so that is clean. There will be more days where she can do her thing with no ties to the rv.

We do leave next week for sure.

Its Windy Today

Down here in the RGV it gets Windy. By this I mean the wind blows in the 15-25 range with gusts to 30 and more. The normal day is with 5-15 winds and no gusts to speak of. Yesterday was forecast to be windy and it was. Today is forecast to be 10 mph winds shifting to the SE. Right now its windy from the south with gusts to 30. So far, there goes the golf for the morning.

We have nine, 9, more days to go and we are out of here. Its been fun, its been nice but past time to move. I think we better keep our stay in one place time to 2 months max. Otherwise we get itchy feet. Dont know what next winter brings yet.

With our not moving and posting we are down to 47 readers a day. We have people who find us the first time and we have readers that check us daily for an update. We have readers in England, Australia, New Zealand , and Turkey. If you haven't read our Buddy map lately, take a look. Also we would like to have you sign it and leave a note or zip as to where you are. Makes for interesting map reading. To all that have already signed our map, thanks very much.

We may go to Langtry from Uvalde. I'm not to interested in driving the interstate. From Langtry its probably to Sheffield, Odessa to Hobbs, NM. DW wants to rock hunt at Deming so we will be there a couple of days IF the winter stays away. And if Jean and Willard are still gold hunting, we will stop to see them.

And The Days Go By

Eleven days today. This next week is good weather and lots of outdoor activities. I have to wash the bird poop off the RV and the suv before we go. It would be nice to have clean vehicles.

Our route will take us to Laredo for the first stop. There is a state park there. Then its on to Lost Maples north of Uvalde for the second stop. From there its to I10 and west to Sheffield for the next stop. Not sure just what we will find there but thats the plan. From there its on to Hobbs and Lovington, NM. We hope to stay a couple of days at Uvalde. Of course this depends on the weather.

We will take pics as we go and when we setup the dish, we will post a new update. Now, about them tires. It seems they were bought in 02. We will start the count from there and that puts us at five, 5, years vs the six of an earlier post. New tires next year. I'd really like to get "new keys".
