We Buried Our Dad Today
A service was held in Hobbs, NM for those that knew him and called him friend on Saturday, March 29, 2008. He was then transported to Electra, TX for burial in the family plot on March 31, 2008. In attendance were his two sons, their family, Grand children, Great Grand children and his two nephews with their families.
Daddy had outlived all of his friends and co-workers of years gone by. With his death is the passing of a generation as said by his nephew Gary of Houston, TX. My brother Jim, myself, Gary and his brother Larry are now the next generation.
My father had a long and good life, was married to a good wife and mother, and retired in his early 50's to enjoy a very long leisure life. He and mom traveled and went thru three RV's.
He had always said that he would live to be 120. Now he can surpass that by living forever.
