BRRRRRRRRRRR. Warm South Texas got hit pretty hard. We did get to freezing down here. There has been, so far, no talk of a damaging freeze. All this was
wednesday night. The high for
wednesday was the lower to mid 30's depending on where you were.
Over night it was 35 with cloudy skies and a chance of rain. Current temp is 36, high so far is 37. I'm sure all those winter Texans are wondering as to what is going on. Looking head, it will be past next
wednesday before it gets back to the 60's. The temps will crawl up to the 40's and 50's till then with chance of rain and cloudy skies. Again,
BRRRRRRRRRRR.
We do go to the pool hall and shoot pool once or
maby twice a day. It does get busy. There is seven very nice tables to use. They have the same as seen on the
tv pool
tournaments. There is men and women pool times and
tournaments.
Dutch and Diana, rv travelers, sent me an email about playing a round of golf. They were in Harlingon at the time. Then this cold spell arrived and put a stop to that. I got another email yesterday and they will be moving to a Weslaco park on the 28th. Maybe by then the weather will be playable.
Edit: They will be staying at the Snow to Sun here in Weslaco. Not anything to post pic wise, to nasty to get out. Right now we have something out there as the concrete is wet. Tomcat does not like this cold either. He spends the night on the electric blanket on the bed and on his pillowduring the day to keep off the floor where its cold. Our inside temp is around 70 so its decent. The floor, walls and ceiling get cold. The shades and front curtains are kept closed to slow the cold draft and cold temps thru the glass.
With this cold air and our not moving, the daily readers has dropped to 50 from 64. We are just not interesting I guess. To you that do stop by daily, thanks. We have you from all over the USA, Canada, England, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand. There are some readers of unknown origin and language that stop by. So HELLO to all of you and thanks for stopping by.
